Goodest Stats is an independent, non-commercial fan project operated by Trilogy. It shows Fortnite player stats and the current item shop. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. Player stats and item shop data are provided by the third-party Fortnite-API.com. This page explains exactly what data is captured, how it is used, how it is shared, and how long it is retained.
If you sign in with Epic: we request only the basic_profile
OAuth scope, which returns your Epic account ID and display name.
Nothing else is captured, we never see your Epic password, and Epic's
basic_profile scope does not include an email address.
If you look up a player: the display name you type is captured only long enough to query it, plus a short-lived counter (a few minutes) of how many lookups your IP address has made, used solely to stop abuse of the search form.
General browsing: no advertising or analytics scripts run on this site, and no cookies are set except the one session cookie described below.
Your Epic access token is used exactly once, immediately after login, to fetch your account ID and display name, and is then discarded. It is never stored and cannot be used to act on your Epic account afterward.
Your account ID and display name are used only to show your own stats page and to display your name in the site's navigation while you're signed in. Looked-up display names are used only to query Fortnite-API.com for that player's public stats and to display the result to you.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only with the two services required to make the site work:
Epic Games (epicgames.com) performs the login itself; see Epic's own
privacy policy for how they handle your account.
Fortnite-API.com is an independent, third-party stats provider; the
account ID or player name you're looking up is sent to their API to retrieve
public stats and shop data.
Sign-in data (account ID, display name) lives only in your browser's encrypted, signed session cookie for as long as you stay signed in. It is never written to our database. Signing out, or clearing cookies, deletes it immediately and completely, there is no account created or retained on our side.
Lookup rate-limit counters expire automatically after a few minutes.
Cached API responses (stats, item shop, cosmetics) are cached server-side for between 5 minutes and 6 hours depending on the endpoint, purely to reduce load on Fortnite-API.com. These are keyed by account ID or search term, not by visitor identity, and expire automatically.
